One of our partners, Richie Gill, explains that out of the 7 proposed amendments on the ballot relating to property taxes, the most important and impactful is Prop. 13, which would increase the property tax exemption for school district property taxes from $100,000 to $140,000 of the market value of a homestead, potentially saving many homeowners in El Paso hundreds annually.
